"As a retired teacher, I donate to Future for Farato because one primary focus is education, while it's second, healthcare. Money is spent for tuition, uniforms and books. Later they built a library and filled it with books and a computer, a DVD player, and then a pharmacy. All of these strengthen the whole village as its members become more independent and live better and longer. Their creative caring approach is unique in my experience and deserves as much support as possible.

"I love that the Future for Farato requests for donations are often very specific and that we're always working towards a particular goal for the community — from bikes and uniforms for school to the children's library and the "Little House" clinic — and many other projects in between. We then receive newsletters — showing us how the people in Farato ended up using the donations— always with great pictures and detailed stories (I've actually seen one of the books I donated in the hands of the kids in the Children's Library! Clearly seeing the impact of my contributions really makes me feel like I'm making a difference in their lives."

I have personally been to Farato twice in a period of ten years and in those years, a lot has changed. Those that were babies when I first visited are now big boys and girls Just looking at their happy faces makes one want to do more for them. My favorite moments were watching the kids compete in reading, writing and drawing competitions. Much has been accomplished, but there is still so much need. Kids need computers and everyone needs more free health assistance. Older girls were not well informed about their bodies but since the project started, they know their rights and no longer is marriage tops on their list. I saw that Biran, the manager goes out of is way to make sure that the funds and all supplies are put to use and accounted for. I recommend everyone visit Farato for memories of a lifetime.
