Karen Windle is a nurse practitioner who first visited Farato in 2014. She returned in 2017 and started working with the local doctors and trying to improve the basic healthcare in the village. After this visit a small mud brick building was constructed by the people in Farato and they now have a place to go for a few hours a day for First Aid and some Over The Counter Pain medicines. This “clinic” is maintained by a local nurse in the village. Karen has been a member of the Board of Future For Farato since that trip and plans to return again with other healthcare workers.
