Ellen and Dennis McGill
Artist and teacher, Ellen has been married to businessman, Dennis for 50 years. They share three children and one glorious grandson.
Ellen loves kids, art, gardening, and all things outside.
The McGill's love of travel took them to Africa. In 2008, they first visited the village of Farato.
It was easy to fall in love with the amazing children of Farato. They are beautiful, bright, and so very poor. Farato families deal with hardships daily but maintain laughter and hope for a better life for their children.
It's impossible to ignore the contrast between living conditions of Farato kids with conditions of American children.
I knew that the generous spirit of our family and friends would be touched by these kids. Now we can all be proud of the progress of the Farato students.
