The closest school is almost 5 miles away. Only a few children could make the long daily walk. As we're bringing reconditioned bikes to Farato, children are starting school for the first time. Even though many of the older children must be put in classes with younger children, they are working hard and are enthusiastic about learning. Now that many more chiildren are starting their education, others are clammering to join them.

The primary school is known as the SDA school. It was built some years ago by the Seventh Day Adventists, and enjoys continued support . Children attend primary school for 6 years.

The closest nursery school is named Take Care School. Children begin learning at age 3 and continure for 3 years. Here children begin to learn English as well as the basics of reading and arithmetic. Take Care school is not well funded and provides only the barest essentials of a classroom.
